Seamsil Seams – Levi Strauss, Northampton

When faced with the problem of edge peel back and lap joint corrosion on the Goosewing Grey coloured PVC coated steel root cladding at their Northampton plant, world famous clothing manufacturer Levi Strauss had only to turn to Seamsil to find the perfect solution.
Although the building was not that old, corrosion had started to affect the cut ends of the sheet edges as well as the roof lap joints where dirt and moisture are easily trapped.
Seamsil, the patented silicone sealant and paint system, manufactured in the UK by Manchester based company Delvemade Limited, has for over 12 years been used with great success in the fight against acid rain and pollution led attacks on
both PVC and Pvf2 coated steel clad roofs. The Seamsil 100 application was undertaken by Midlands based contractor Everett Surface Treatments a Seamsil Qualified Applicator for over ten years.
