Delglaze in the Clear with West Yorkshire Police
During refurbishment to their Wakefield premesis, West Yorkshire Police discovered that the translucent roof lights had clearly reached a stage whereby the protective gel coating of the GRP had almost disappeared leaving the sheets with engrained dirt and lichen and vulnerable to rapid deterioration.
The busy offices could not be unduly disturbed, so after taking advice from Giromax, Project Manager Andrew Darnton chose to recoat the roof lights with DELGLAZE, a high performance, high build, single component moisture curing aliphatic polyurethane coating that
cures to provide a clear, tough membrane. DELGLAZE offered negligable site disruption whilst providing complete weather resistance for the coming decade.
QualifieWakefield Officesd applicator D. Evans Ltd first cleaned off the sheets, immediately improving light levels in the building, before brush applying DELGLAZE clear coating.
