GIROSIL® Roofcoat RC Metal
GIROMAX IN POLE POSITION
Coated Steel Roof Sheets were exhibiting classic cut edge corrosion to the sheet ends, together with age related delamination of the factory applied coating.
Planned refurbishment to the busy Raben Group Logistics facillity at Gądki near Poznan in Poland revealed that the existing Plastisol coated steel roof sheets had reached their “re-paint decision time” and were exhibiting classic cut edge corrosion to the sheet ends together with age related delamination of the factory applied coating. The steel sheets themselves were in good condition, it was only their protective coating that needed reinstating.
Since the continuous freight operation could not be disrupted, the project management team at DTZ Poland proposed recoating the roofs with the Giromax roof coating system whose physical properties are proven to withstand the extremes high summer and harsh winter weather and temperature. The Giromax solution was able to offer negligible site interference whilst providing complete weather protection and corrosion resistance for decades to come.
Qualified applicator Kettles Ltd first treated the roof to prevent further corrosion to the critical lap joints and other areas of cut edges and fixings followed by Giromax roof coating system, applied to a finish colour of Goosewing Grey.
