GIROMAX are working in conjunction with the client ‘EVERLAST WATERPROOFING’. A GIROMAX Technical Services Manager carried out a site Survey at the site location, as a result, the work then commenced with the contractor ‘CLADCOAT LTD’. They are an experienced contractor who are also experienced at applying GIROMAX products.

Problem
The key issues encountered by the contractor included the sheer size of the roof itself, which is approximately 50,000 Sq m. Another challenge was the removal of the existing product / liner within the gutter systems, however, ‘CLADCOAT LTD’ closely followed the specification sheets provided, by removing any remaining coating back to a clean firm substrate, this was done by way of using scrapers and grinders, where required. Another general issue, when applying products to a roof in the UK, is the unpredictable weather, however, by using GIROMAX moisture tolerant products ‘CLADCOAT LTD’ were able to continue working whereby, if other products were used this may not have been possible.

Giromax® Guttercoat restores and protects commercial guttering that is experiencing corrosive damage due to age, weather extremes and extended periods of standing water. By completely encapsulating the gutter’s joints and substrate, a protective, watertight barrier is formed and effective for up to 15 years.
Giromx® Edgecoat has been specifically developed to supersede the design limitations of older silicone treatments by overcoming both dependence on moisture free corrosion control and a vulnerability to impact and abrasion damage, especially from bird attack.
